+ These photos were taken this past winter after the last snow of the season. Here we have a Landmark barn in Historic Cross Plains, Tennessee off HWY 25 at Kilgore Park. Thomas Kilgore settle the area in 1778 making it the first & oldest European settlement in the County.
The barn was renovated recently and the sign was designed to replicate the original sign when the barn was built in the 1920s.

+ This Old Cross Plains Bank alongside highway 25 was build in 1907. There isn’t much history to find about it though. Cross Plains however is the oldest settlement in Robertson County and one of the oldest in the entire state. It was originally founded in 1778 by Thomas Kilgore as a station to protect settlers from Native America attacks.
