Dear friends & clients, after 50 years as a professional photographer and 40 years of being in business in the Roanoke Valley I have decided to close MUNCY FINE PHOTOGRAPHY. It has been my honor and privilege to serve you with your photographic needs and assignments. I have made so many friends and relationships thru my business that I cannot thank you by name, but know how much I cherish all of you. I have done some scary stuff in my photographic career such as: Hung out of a helicopter with no door secured only by my seatbelt. Climbed up the outside of a tall chimney at the Piketon Power plant to a door half way up and then climbed up inside to photograph the lining of the chimney. Hung 80ft above a valley from a crane in a cage to photograph a condo development across the valley at Wintergreen to name a few, but I always had a harness of some other safety gear to keep me safe. I don't think I could do what that photographer is doing, especially with a 4x5 speed graphic with one film hold which you have to remove the dark slide from. He must have removed it before getting to position to use both hands, so 1 shot at the right exposure.
