I don’t know where to begin with this session. After watching the ever changing weather like a hawk, I decided to move the shoot to the morning and cross my fingers that it didn’t rain. BLESSED is an understatement. No rain, perfect temp, even cloud cover, minimal crowds. The mountains started hidden in clouds, but made their appearance for the last 15 minutes. This sweet couple and their little girl were an absolute dream to work with. She never stopped cheesing ear to ear. Never in my wildest photography dreams did I envision mornings like these, connecting with clients that travel hundreds of miles to trust me (a stranger) with multigenerational memory keepsakes. I want to relive this morning a dozen times over. 🤍 Thank you times infinity Dede Elizabeth 🤍

An updated bio was due! I’m Tara and here are some things I’d like for you to know about me:

🏔️ I spent my childhood growing up in South Lake Tahoe, CA, but moved to Riverton, WY, to pursue higher education. I have now lived here for 10 years! I still get to visit the Tahoe area several times a year to see family which always warms my heart.

🐴 I’m a huge outdoor fanatic; hiking, horseback riding, biking, alpine skiing, water skiing, and recently some hunting. If you’re photoshoot desires require an adventure to arrive at location, I am your girl!

💍 I married my best friend (Zach) in May of 2026 and we have two dogs, Moose and Maggie. 🐾

👩‍🏫 My primary profession is a secondary math education teacher (9-12th grade), which I’ve now done for approximately 5.5 years. I spend some evenings coaching competitive gymnastics and are in the final stages of my masters degree, too.

📷 Lastly, I’ve been behind a lens for over a decade. Photographing anything from pow wows and Chinese New Year, to senior portraits and family portraits, to weddings and baby photos, to bull riding clinics and rodeos, to landscape and self-portraits. I love the creativity that comes with photography, and love getting capture moments for others. Let’s plan something for you to keep forever!
