Infertility is such a “Grey” area and knowing that I am 1 in 8 who struggle with it just.. sucks.
I cry when I see cute baby clothes at the store, when someone shares a baby announcement video surprising their parents, or watching my husband play with our nieces and nephews at Sunday dinner.
I’ve had my fair share of questioning god asking questions like- What did I do to deserve this? Am I not a good enough person? Do you not see me being a good mom? To say infertility hasn’t rattled my faith would be lying. It’s a daily struggle but I have to keep my head up and keep fighting. Someone recently asked me “How do you stay positive about infertility?”
My first thought was “fake it till you make it” but stepping back and thinking it through her hard question turned easy. When I think about my life with my amazing husband and our fur baby mavis I can’t keep myself from feeling blessed. THEY ARE MY REASON WHY I SURVIVE DAY TO DAY. My husband especially, I couldn’t handle this emotional baggage without him. Telling our story to those who ask he often says “I wish it was me that was the issue in the baby making progress so Jess could blame me and not herself” 🥺 (he knows after many crying sessions that I blame myself that I can’t give him kids)
Now this this being said -I’m not looking for a pitty party here on social media, but I do like bringing awareness to those who struggle with me in this department. If this is you please know you are not alone! I see you. I UNDERSTAND!! And I’m always on your side if you ever need a friend. Stay strong ladies!
