I haven’t been on my page for awhile. Time to get back in the game and kick start my business.

I moved to Atlanta last October after graduating from film school. Although I have not been on set as crew, that’s ok. I’ve had several gigs as background.
Today is day two of a shoot. Days are along, 13 hours yesterday, and can be tedious.
However I would not change it for the world. I get a High when I’m on set and observe the direct and crew and their working relationship.
Last fall I worked with a director after a three year timespan.
I’m a producer, and enjoy the business of the job. For a film to succeed you need a good working relationship with your director. The relationship with your director or producer is important, it comes with compromise, it comes with knowing one another’s likes, dislikes, you need to know their personality and above all respect of each other, with no power trip. The relationship between the director and producer goes beyond the genre. Your film will reflect that in the end.
I always thought it would be cool to work as crew on shoots, ever since 1989. Now however, breaking away from BIG Hollywood Production companies is the way to go, small and indie, and control want you and your director want and envision.
Fortunately for me I have someone I could work with, and bring a script to life.
All I need now is an investor with deep pockets, haha.
