Feb 1, 2026: Four years ago, I signed my very first commercial lease… and if I’m being honest, I had no idea just how much that moment would change me.
The Collective Space Studios wasn’t just a business decision, it was a love letter to the photographer I was 10 years prior. The girl with big dreams, limited resources, and a vision she couldn’t quite explain yet… just a feeling that one day she’d create something of her own.
At the same time I was growing Jane Media into what it is today, The Collective Space became my creative anchor. A space that reminded me where I started, while pushing me into who I was becoming. It was the moment things stopped feeling like just a dream… and started feeling real.
And truthfully… it also became something I needed. A reminder that in the middle of growing, scaling, and showing up for everyone else, keeping something creative, something personal, something that lights you up is not optional… It’s therapeutic. It’s grounding. It’s what keeps the passion alive when things get hard.
Over the last four years, these walls have held so much more than photoshoots. They’ve held first clients, rebrands, late nights, big risks, creative breakthroughs, and so many meaningful connections. I’ve had the privilege of watching other photographers and creatives walk through these doors and bring their own inspired visions to life and that has meant everything to me.
And now, to have had the opportunity to watch this dream expand just a year later in 2023 into a second location for larger events(), while still holding onto the same heart for beauty, accessibility, and a space where creatives feel seen and supported… is something I don’t take lightly.
Last month at our “A Tini Bit Older” 4th birthday celebration, being surrounded by family, friends, clients, local leaders, and creatives who have all been part of this journey… it just reminded me how special this all really is.
The Collective Space was never just a studio. It was a promise to myself… and I’m so proud of the life it’s taken on.
Cheers to 4 years, and everything still to come. 🤍✨
