I miss this creative outlet of mine.
I know that a good handful of my regular clients have reached out this year to do photo shoots. Respectfully I had to turn them down. I am taking the entirety of the year off from the business. It really does ache my heart not to have my outlet any longer. Trust me this isn’t something that I want to do. It is something I need to do to work on myself as a new single mother and get myself on my feet to a point where I feel like I can handle the workload again from the business.
I just wanted to make this post to allow people to be aware of the fact that I am still in business. I will be back. Your favorite Photographer, who doesn’t ask you for an arm, leg or the entirety of your soul for a session will be back haha!
People who genuinely know me. Know that I only have a business because I have too. This is my creative outlet. You clients, my friends, family whoever (are my art).
I don’t ever seek to gain popularity. I understand in depth that photography is art. Everyone creates art differently. They have different styles, tones and vibe.
That’s really the beauty in photography. Every photographer doesn’t just have their own style. They have their own personality as well.
I enjoy making people that are uncomfortable comfortable. I enjoy capturing the little movements that people don’t usually recognize. Like the way when your daughter plays with your hair when you have her popped over your shoulder when she’s a baby. Or when I am taking newborn pictures and a newborn giggles in their sleep. Capturing the looks of not only your husband‘s reaction yet your mother, father, and close family’s reaction when they see you walk down the aisle. Capturing your children’s natural curiosity.
It’s the beauty and little details of life.
I could rant forever. Yet bottom line people that vibe with me and have been clients for years…I’m still here. I’ll be back.
