a little bit of life lately

Today starts pregnancy & infant loss awareness month.

It’s been a little over 3 years without my baby girl, Makenna Grace. Chloe asks about her often. I wish I had more answers, but at least I’m able to remind her that heaven is where we can meet again one day 🤍

Talking about her & who she could’ve been is both hurtful & healing at the same time. But I love talking about her any chance I get, so don’t be afraid to reach out whether you’re wondering, or if you’re going through something similar, too.

Thank you Lord, for keeping her safe in your arms until we can meet again.

If you’ve been here a while, you know that I MIGHT post once every few months if you’re lucky 🤪

Newborns are my jam these days, along with capturing any of your littles natural expressions.

I’m 21 weeks along with my baby boy now & will be slowing down here soon. I‘ll be going on leave late May so I will have enough time to get all sessions out before baby gets here. & as for a time when I’ll ‘get back to more full time, newborn sessions will be my priority, & will only accept a certain amount of all other sessions from now on. [thanks for understanding!]

If you are wanting to book a newborn session with me anytime this year, please just reach out & I’ll usually find a way to make it happen even if I have my little newborn already! 🤍

Honestly, being pregnant after losing our sweet Makenna girl to stillbirth is HARD. I love being pregnant & the gift of carrying life inside of me, but losing a child, to put it lightly, just messes with your mind. Every little thing messes with your mind… I’m just taking it day by day & today I’m feeling so thankful that I get to be all of my kids mama.

Ps. I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them. Literally my cheeks hurt from smiling so hard their whole session you’d think I was the one on the other side of the camera 😂😅 you’re a gem
