March brought some big court decisions in her case! It is most likely that sweet girl will stay, and the plan for permanence is adoption. Now, we wait just a little longer for the court process to unfold.
Last August, we said “yes” to what we thought was super short-term… super temporary… she needed an immediate place to sleep for the night. At that time, the heart of our family was still tender, but we had a wobbly but confident YES… yes to a place to sleep… YES to safety and love for the immediate time being. Yes… back into all of the unknowns. It’s been 10 months of loving our sweet girl! I know I keep saying it’s wild to have a toddler and teenagers… cause it is! She is sweet and silly with just a bit of spice.
It’s been so much fun to watch our big kids love her well.
We look forward to the beauty of adoption, while honoring the journeys, losses and resilience that brought us all here.🤍
