As we head into one of the busiest seasons of the year, I wanted to share a few reminders about gallery delivery times and scheduling policies.
My typical turnaround time is 1โ2 weeks, though during peak season it may occasionally extend to up to 3 weeks. I always strive to deliver galleries as quickly as possible because I know how excited everyone is to see their images. At the same time, I never want to sacrifice quality for speed. Every gallery is carefully culled and edited to ensure you receive images youโll love for years to come.
As many of you may remember, I announced earlier this year that I would no longer be providing sneak peeks for regular sessions. While I know sneak peeks are exciting, eliminating them allows me to focus my time on editing complete galleries and keeping turnaround times as efficient as possible. The only exception to this policy is weddings.
Something many people donโt see is everything that happens behind the scenes. Photography is so much more than showing up and taking photos. There are hours spent answering messages, planning sessions, maintaining contracts and invoices, culling images, editing galleries, marketing, bookkeeping, and running a business. On top of that, I work a full-time job and am a mom. Like many of you, Iโm balancing multiple responsibilities every day while doing my best to provide an amazing experience for my clients.
This is also why I ask everyone to be mindful of my scheduling policies. During busy season, rescheduling is often extremely difficult because dates fill quickly. For that reason, I generally only approve reschedules due to weather, emergencies, or circumstances outside of your control.
Please also remember that last-minute cancellations or requests to reschedule just hours before your session are not permitted under my contract. When a spot is reserved for you, that time is held exclusively for your session and prevents another client from booking it. If a session is canceled or rescheduled at the last minute for a non-emergency reason, the full session balance will be due and a new non-refundable retainer will be required to secure another date.
Whether youโve booked a family session, senior session, wedding, or bo***ir session, my goal is always the same: to provide an experience that makes you feel comfortable, valued, and excited to receive your final gallery. Bo***ir sessions in particular require extra attention to detail, and I take great care in creating images that help my clients feel confident, beautiful, and empowered.
