Motion Control Marketing Product Release and Video Prepared for OES (Optimal Engineering Systems)

High Precision Three-axis Stages Adds A New Dimension to Pitch and Roll Stages … … Lift!

Van Nuys, CA - New High Precision Three-axis ZGG-60-10-15 Series of Lift, Pitch, and Roll Stages have been released by Optimal Engineering Systems, Inc. (OES). These compact stages feature 60 mm +/- 2 mm (2.362 in. +/- 0.078 in.) of vertical travel. The scissor lift design combined with precision roller bearings and slide rails assures smooth motion and very high parallelism throughout the raising and lowering of the table. The Pitch and Roll angles are created by two goniometers with +/- 10 degrees of travel (pitch) and +/- 15 degrees of travel (roll).

The integration of the vertical lift and goniometers enhances the identifying crystals, examining cutting edges of medical instruments, estimating hyperspectral bidirectional reflectance, gloss measurements, measurements of radiation patterns of LEDs, directing lasers, aligning mirrors, and manufacturing of quartz oscillator plates using quartz cutting x-rays.

The ZGG-60-10-15-01 (shown) is driven by a Two-Phase Stepper Motor with micro-stepping capabilities. The vertical repeatability is typically +/- 5 microns and typical positional accuracy is 15 microns. Option ZGG-60-10-15-04 is driven with a stepper motor and has a Quadrature Incremental Optical Encoder for position verification.

The ZGG-60-10-15-02 is driven by a Three-Phase Brushless Servo Motor with a Quadrature Incremental Optical Encoder, and the ZGG-60-10-15-03 is driven by a DC Brushed Servo Motor with a Quadrature Incremental Optical Encoder. The Servo Motor options provide sub-micron repeatability and positional accuracy typical of a closed loop system, and higher travel speeds.

These stages require a Motion Controller that can be ordered as a complete plug-and-play system with RS-232, USB, joystick, trackball, and keypad control.

"XYZ in Motion" the video production department of Motion Control Marketing, updated and existing video for Moticont and prepared a brief accompaning Product Release.

"High Speed, High Precision Linear Voice Coil Positioning Stage features 1 Micron Resolution!"

High performance compact positioning voice coil driven linear stages are used in positioning applications where high speed, high acceleration or high accuracy is required.
The motorized linear stages are fully self-contained. Each stage utilizes one or two linear voice coil servo motor(s), a linear carriage system, an optical quadrature encoder feedback device and a home switch. The standard positioning resolutions of 1 micron through 29.95 microns are available for immediate delivery. Other resolutions are available upon request.
Range of motion is from 0.50” (12.7 mm) through 5.20” (132.1 mm). Continuous (stall) forces range from 1 lb (4.5 N) through 23.0 lb (102 N). The intermittent forces at 10% duty cycle are from 3.1 lb (13.8 N) through 73 lb (323 N).
The stages may be stacked in XY, XZ and XYZ configurations.
