✨ Tips When Shopping for a Wedding Venue (from a photographer’s lens 😉) ✨

1️⃣ Light, light, light. The lighter and brighter the spaces, the better your photos will look. Stay away from dark, poorly lit venues if possible. Nothing compares to that dreamy natural light on your wedding day. 🌿☀️

2️⃣ Getting ready spaces. Make sure your venue has both a bridal suite and a groom’s room. It makes the day so much smoother, and those getting-ready photos? Priceless.

3️⃣ One location = less stress. If the ceremony, reception, and prep spaces are all in one place, it saves time, avoids travel chaos, and gives you more time to actually enjoy your day.

4️⃣ Photo-friendly details. Think about backgrounds, neutral walls, pretty windows, and outdoor options. They’ll elevate every photo.

5️⃣ Check the rain plan. Outdoor ceremony? Make sure the venue has a backup plan that’s still beautiful. Future you will thank you. ☔️✨

6️⃣ Ask about rules. Some venues limit sparkler exits, drones, or even flash photography. Make sure the rules fit your vision before you book.

📸 Bonus tip: Always tour your venue around the same time of day you’ll actually get married. That way you’ll see how the light really hits the space.
