When Aayden stepped in front of the camera, he carried that mix I see in a lot of people during their first real portrait: a little nervous, a little unsure, but willing to lean in and trust the process. That’s all I ever need.

As we moved through the shoot, his presence settled, and the real version of him started to show up: the strength he doesn’t brag about, the quiet joy that sits right behind his expression, and the kind of energy that fills a room without trying. These frames are just proof of what was already there.

I can't wait to see what he does next time he steps in front of my camera.

Anna came in a little nervous for her first session, but it didn’t take long for her to settle in and trust the process. Once she did, the images opened up. I really like how these turned out.

In the midst of the Sawtooth Wilderness, nestled beneath the Sawtooth mountains is a meadow that has to be one of my favorite locations in the world to shoot couples in.

Every couple is unique and I spend countless hours in the back country on dirt roads searching for unique locations. However, I get more requests from couples to shoot in this meadow than any other location and I get more photographers asking me "where was that photo taken?", than any of my engagement shoot locations.

It's no secret I love the outdoors (probably the beard gives it away), and not much makes me happier than being surrounded by God's beautiful creation and capturing the love shared between two people.
