I was up on the Flattops yesterday looking for wildflowers. I did not find a lot of flowers yet. However, I “ran” into my husband up there doing hoist training in the Black Hawk 😄🚁 I caught him flying towards Capitol Peak which is one of Colorado’s most prominent 14ers sitting at 14,130ft

Wildflowers on the Flattops 🌄🌺🌼

Last summer I headed out to the Flattops Wilderness with a simple hope: find some good wildflowers and catch a nice sunset. You never really know if it’ll come together. But this evening, everything lined up.

The Flattops don’t get talked about the way the San Juans or the Bells do, but evenings like this remind me why they’re one of my favorite quiet corners of Colorado 🥰

First trip of the season: Crystal Mill in Marble, yesterday morning. It delivered.

Honestly, I expected very little water. We are in a drought, after all. But the Crystal River was running well - more than enough. So much for my low expectations.

And the green. Spring in the high country does not hold back. Aspens, ferns, everything fresh. No filter needed.

Eleven photos. I could not narrow it down further, so you get all of them 😄

🌄 Six pieces of Colorado found new homes this May 🌄

I always wonder where my prints end up. Which living room, which quiet hallway, which wall someone walks past every morning with their coffee. This month, six of them found those places.

Each one began as a single moment in the mountains: the light I waited for, the wildflowers I knelt beside, the storm clouds that rolled in right on time. And now those moments get to live on someone else’s wall, a little window to the high country in the middle of an ordinary day.

To the six of you who welcomed one home: thank you from the bottom of my heart. Knowing my work means something to you is what keeps me waking before dawn, chasing the light. 💛
