Today I was going through archives of images and I landed on a shot from a local parade a year or two ago. The image instantly made me smile and had me looking forward to warmer weather, community events, and the hope that the increase in temperatures and sunshine will bring more people back to a happy place and a healthy mindset towards others. ✌️

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting a husband and wife team on the river - Jay & Sania made the 1.5 hour trek from Long Island to fish some of the local rivers around my stomping grounds. It’s always rejuvenating to meet people with deep passion, hearts of gold, and a child-like energy. I might have only met these two for a few minutes, but I can assure you that this is true of them and their family. I hope you have tight lines and our paths cross again in the future.

Over the past year I have started to shoot film again during special moments in my life or just when I want a break from all the digital screens. This photo is the start of my FRIDAYSWITHFILM series - Details —> Shot on Kodak Portra film, developed and scanned by .35, and posted directly with no edits. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Family time is sacred to me - it is especially true when the time is spent playing outside. If you don’t see me with a camera, then I’m probably out playing with this little one, trying to be as present as possible. Please do yourself and your loved ones a favor and get outside. Leave the screens inside for an hour or more and truly be present with each other - besides, none of us are that important online anyway. Now it’s time to laugh at yourself for reading all this, put the phone down, and get outside. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

The four gentlemen featured are part of a new photo series I started in 2025 that is loosely titled - “Owners”. These four were gracious and kind when I was out covering businesses around the state of CT for Homes.com. Whether it was the offering of food, respite from the weather, a great conversation, or opening their businesses early, these business owners certainly led by example in their community with empathy and humanity towards all. Being moved and grateful for their time and care towards their customers and community members, I had the idea to ask each of them for their portrait with the hope to feature them on this platform so that more people can hear their stories and visit their establishments. It is a privilege to work with talented people who bring out the best in others.

This past week I had the opportunity to visit my friends at in Stamford and cover some MLB player workouts.

The players were obviously extraordinary athletes but are even better people. The players are tagged wherever possible and represent different levels of playing eligibility for teams such as the and

On the camera nerd side of this shoot I pushed the Z8 to its low-light limits - shooting from 6400ISO - 25,600ISO. The camera tracked focus incredibly well with native f2.8 Z zoom lenses and also with older F Mount zoom lenses with the Z mount adapter. I wanted to gauge the cameras ability but also the speed of the players swings. I shot at shutter speeds that would normally freeze top level high school talent - shutter speeds of 1/1250 - 1/2000 - but these players required me to shoot even faster. All this adds up to camera nerd talk that means this camera is a beast!

Thank you BVSA for the opportunity, the players for their professionalism, and for the amazing technology from Nikon to capture it all. You can catch these players on TV or at your local stadium in a few short weeks.

During one of my assignments for Homes.com last year I learned of a local blacksmith who was friendly enough to invite me into his personal home forge. Throughout a year of hoping to connect amidst ever-changing schedules we finally coordinated our efforts for a personal project. Here are the memories of an hour of hard work while I watched in awe and captured a few images along the way.

Leon Husock is the brains, braun, and skill behind and the creator of two very special custom hooks that will be a permanent fixture in my home to display a handmade wooden paddle I created.

Leon is also a teacher at so check out the class offerings if you’re interested in molding some metal.

Thanks again Leon! You’re a legend.

This is New Milford, CT - I’ve been shooting so many other things & running around to all corners of the state that it was nice to cover a local neighborhood for Homes.com. If you are close enough to visit this small downtown area you should because there are great shops, restaurants, beautiful trails & recreation areas, and most importantly for me - amazing people. Thanks New Milford. I hope to be back soon.

Going to “The Cape” has been a family tradition since my Dad was a kid. Now having my daughter experience the cape as I did - with amazing friends and extended family - is a blessing. All of these photos were taken during our annual stay in a small, but very special neighborhood on the bay. While the neighborhood is certainly changing from what I remember as a kid, it’s still equally special and a time that the whole family looks forward to each year.
