We had a few photographers enjoy some time under the stars Saturday night in the mountains. The sky was amazing, the Milky Way above the city and dark mountain between us and watching some meteors streak across the sky as well as watching the big Dipper drop below the mountain peaks.

I shot the Perseids meteor shower last night from 9pm til 3am this morning. We had lots of clouds roll throughout the night and not many visible meteors. We still had a good time under the stars.

San Rafael Reef Rest Area, UT

A long drive on the Interstate 70 across Utah has various landscapes and canyons. Parts of the drive can be quite boring and flat while others have breathtaking views.

We stopped at the San Rafael Reef rest area for a short break to stretch the legs before driving on. It was 110 degrees and I climbed up a hill to launch my drone for a couple quick photos as well as a couple selfies.
