Today’s behind‑the‑camera moment comes from Manassas National Battlefield Park — one of those places where the air feels heavier, the ground feels older, and the stories seem to rise up from the fields.

I watched Jason and our girl standing beside the cannon, both of them taking in the landscape in their own way. He studies the light, the history, the angles. She stands tall and alert, like she’s guarding the whole field, chest out and eyes bright. She always becomes the quiet heartbeat of our adventures, even when the photo is supposed to be about something else.
