The USPS is forced to pay big time for using a stock image of a work that did not ultimately come with permission from the original artist. A lesson for the stock photo site to clamp down on image submissions and the origins of such work.

According to the lawsuit, the US Postal Service issued a new Forever Stamp design in December 2010 that mistakenly features the Statue of Liberty replica in Las Vegas created by Davidson rather than the original statue in New York.
