I had to cut my morning walk a little short this morning as a storm moved in. I love doing storm photography, but there is a limit when it becomes dangerous. Being out walking in the wind and rain isn’t a problem, but the lightning got a little close. However, the views of the storm cell coming in were pretty impressive.

I am finally able to start getting out more, so tonight I headed to the local lake to do some photography. The haze from the Canada wildfires created some interesting light. Praying for those impacted by the fires.
I’m hoping to slowly start getting out more. I’m getting answers about my knee injury and will continue PT for the next several weeks. Things are progressing and I can do a little more hiking, pain permitting. Thank you for your support as I figure things out.

This morning before the thunderstorms moved in I took a sunrise walk around the local park. I’m making progress with my knee injury but I’m still not cleared to do anything too strenuous. I’m hoping to do some light hiking soon. There’s still views, you just have to be open to what’s around you.

Somewhere in the Illinois countryside this morning. Before heading to the gym I took a drive in the country to watch sunrise. The clouds were sparse enough to create some amazing colors.

I took a short walk to the local park at sunrise after a storm. It was great to get out and enjoy nature. I’m still recovering from my knee injury, so getting out and enjoying nature is a huge plus. The stillness and clouds made for a great reflection view.

I’ve been recovering from tearing my meniscus while marathon training a month or so ago, so getting out has been a struggle. This weekend as part of the recovery process I took a short hike at the local lake. It was great to get out and I’m hoping to do more. I still have a ways to go in recovery, but this was a big step and great to get out.

Happy to share that three of my photos were recognized by the MUSE Photography Awards. All three won silver awards. “Lower Calf Creek Falls” in the Nature-Waterfall category, “Zion Sunset” for Nature-Landscapes and “Looking Up Towards Angel’s Landing” for Smartphone Photography. All three are from a hiking trip I took this past summer to Utah. All the miles were worth seeing and photographing all the views.

The other day I enjoyed the last bit of snow before the warmup this weekend. By the afternoon the snow was gone in the local park. Looking forward to spring weather and photography.

A couple weeks ago I had to take a quick overnight trip to Pittsburgh for meetings. I was extremely limited on time, but I did have a bit to walk the rivers before sunset. PNC Park is a beautiful ballpark and looks great at sunset.
