As promised, Arctic Fox kits at play.

We had a 2 night stay at this beautiful farm in the highlands of Iceland. Right outside of my room was this beautiful walk path that connected us to the dining area. An Arctic Fox had made a den under that walkway. Due to an unfortunate situation the kits lost their mom, but the owners of the farm are taking care of them. They will most likely be relocated to a preserve soon. I was lucky to be able to spend time with them (at a distance) and I hope that better education will happen in the community to ensure that future kits don't have to end up in their situation.
