Warped Tour was a huge part of my childhood.
I remember running between stages, squeezing through crowds to get closer to my favorite bands, and standing in the summer heat all day because there was no place I’d rather be. You left exhausted, sunburned, and completely full of adrenaline.
Music is also what got me into photography.
As a kid, I used to dream about what it would be like to photograph Warped Tour. To stand at the front of the stage and capture the artists I grew up listening to.
Last weekend, that dream came full circle.
Things didn’t go exactly how I expected. After a couple bands, I learned that even with a photo pass I wasn’t allowed inside the barricade pit area. I’ll admit—it was a little crushing in the moment.
But then something funny happened.
The same determination I had as a teenager trying to get to the front row kicked right back in. I worked the crowd, chased the moments, and ended up seeing Warped Tour from the place that made it special in the first place: right alongside the fans.
Beach balls flying overhead. Crowd surfers living their best lives. Thousands of people screaming every word back to the bands they love.
And honestly? I think that’s where the real story was.
Here are a few images that showcase the well rounded experience of Warped Tour. Enjoy 🤘
