For the bathrooms at our Museum District Modern renovation, a neutral palette is enriched through layers of texture, organic materials and thoughtful detailing to create warmth and visual depth.

In the wet room - our client fell in love with the terrazzo floor tile on day 1, setting the tone for the rest of the concept. Each piece of the Zellige wall tile is molded, cut and glazed individually, bringing a sense of movement, pattern and color to the space, while keeping it grounded in neutral tones. Designed to withstand wear-and-tear, including moisture, the vintage rug provides a touch of warmth. We also designed a custom floating vanity to provide a clean and sophisticated storage solution for the family. And for a green-thumbed client who loves her plants, the wet room is a perfect parking place for some greenery. The simple glass pendant with polished nickel sourced from Arteriors perfectly complements the other design elements without stealing the show.

In the powder room - the reeded wood vanity has a hidden touch latch door to give access to storage for those small powder room necessities (read: extra toilet paper!) so it is equal parts function and beauty. We continued the use of Zellige tile here, and introduced a backlit mirror to really play up the glaze of the tile. The pendant is made of alabaster stone, casting a beautiful glow. And, of course, all lights on a dimmer - always!

The result? Neutral spaces that feel anything other than boring!
