Another amazing company photo shoot with Momentum Dance Center! šŸ©µšŸ–¤šŸ’œ

Iā€™ve had the privilege of photographing these talented dancers for several years, and I always look forward to their company sessions. This year we headed to Maymont in Richmond, VA, and it was such a beautiful setting for their company portraits, dance photos and headshots!

One of my favorite things about being a Richmond VA dance photographer is capturing more than just a beautiful pose. I love creating images that show each dancerā€™s strength, movement and personalityā€”and documenting the friendships and memories that are such a huge part of growing up in the dance studio.

These two!! šŸ’—

I had the BEST time with Josh and Victoria for their engagement session at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden! They made the drive down to Richmond for their session and Lewis Ginter couldnā€™t have been a more beautiful backdrop.

Josh and Victoria told me they wanted their photos to feel like a mix of ā€œin love and fun,ā€ and that is exactly what their session was! So much laughing, so many sweet moments and such an easy connection between these two.

Theyā€™re getting married next year at the gorgeous Cloisters Castle in Maryland and Iā€™m so excited for everything ahead for them!

Senior year looks SO good on Elizabeth!šŸ’—

We headed to The Perfect Picks Flower Farm for her senior session, and it couldnā€™t have been a better fitā€”flowers, tall grasses, cowboy boots, gorgeous light and even a few meaningful portraits with her Bible.

Addison knew exactly what she wanted for her senior picturesā€¦tall grasses, beautiful trees, gorgeous light and photos that felt natural and like HER.šŸ’—

And we definitely got all of that!!

Iā€™ve actually photographed Addison before through dance, so getting to photograph her senior session was extra special. Sheā€™s heading into her senior year at Thomas Dale High School in Chesterfield, has been dancing for the past 10 years, and loves being outside, painting and listening to music.

And seriouslyā€¦she made my job so easy. Her outfits were SO good, the summer light was beautiful, and everything about this session just felt like Addison.

Now sheā€™s starting to look at colleges both in Virginia and out of state, with such an exciting year ahead of her.

One of my favorite things about being a Richmond senior photographer is getting to capture this little window of time right before so much starts to change.

Addison, you are BEAUTIFUL and I absolutely loved getting to photograph your senior pictures!!šŸ’—

Summer is one of my favorite times for senior portraits because everything is so green and pretty, the sunsets are beautiful, and schedules are usually a little less hectic before school starts back up again.

From babies and little kids to high school seniors getting ready to graduateā€¦getting to photograph these moments for families is something I never take for granted.šŸ„°

One of my favorite things about this job is watching moms love their kids through every stage. The little hand-holding years, the busy sports and dance years, the teenage years, and all the moments in between.

These photos are such a reminder that the seasons may change, but the love really doesnā€™t.
