As I've warned you previously — I love to take pictures of frogs. So, here are some more photos of frogs.

Or, rather, three photos of one very handsome frog who decided to pose nicely for me (it even let me get out my tripod and everything!) while it chilled on a rock at our little garden pond waiting for the rain to pick up again.

P.S. I discovered a bunch of frogs have made our other pond home as well... so expect more frog photography! 😘

Photographing jellyfish through glass is NOT easy. But I had to at least TRY to capture absolute beauty of these magical creatures so I could share it with you.

This little guy is a moon jelly, and only a few inches big. Found him tucked away at the Shedd Aquarium the other day.

Absolutely mesmerizing. I could have watched for hours.

You ever see a jellyfish in real life?

I swear, aliens could be the craziest looking thing and still have nothing on the creatures that call Earth home.

Take a look at this seadragon (close relative of a seahorse) and tell me it's not one of the most beautifully strange lifeforms you've ever seen.

I think this little guy has had just about enough of that spiderweb. 🕸

I found this tiny house wren while wandering around Riveredge Nature Center in Saukville on what was pretty much a perfect summer day. About 75 degrees, mostly sunny, a little breeze ... basically the kind of day where I could happily wander around in the woods for hours and not accomplish much of anything else.

I came across this one in a little clearing near a stream that eventually feeds into the Milwaukee River. There were birds calling all around me, including an eastern wood-pewee and what I think was a black-billed cuckoo somewhere nearby (I never actually saw that one, so I'm not counting it).

And really, this is the kind of stuff I love finding when I'm out taking pictures. I wasn't looking for a house wren. I wasn't even necessarily looking for anything in particular. I was just walking around, listening to the birds, enjoying an absolutely gorgeous day, and then this fuzzy little thing showed up.

Sometimes that's really all I need.

Check out this beautiful lady I met on a much-needed nature hike the other day. 😍

People love the male mallards. But the females are also gorgeous. I mean, get a load of how that patch of blue just pops!

Clocked an Osprey flying overhead while visiting Horicon Marsh the other day. Never get sick of these birds. So viciously beautiful.

Went to my parents house for some family time today, and my dad asked me to come take a look at his bees. He asked if I knew what kind of bees they were, I "said some kind of bumblebee," but they looked different from other ones I could remember.

Looked it up and these are supposedly "two spotted bumblebees" and are actually pretty common.

Nonethless, I submitted to inaturalist and also had a fee photos i liked quite a bit - including this one.

Note that this one again is a photo from my phone, not my "good camera," as I had left that one at home.

I really need to start taking it with me everywhere I go...
