BEHIND SCENES VIDEO AT END ➡️

We created this fall fashion shoot concept featuring: Altar'd State & styled everything with their jewelry, accessories, clothing & brand messaging at the heart of the shoot.

PROPS:
We incorporated some timeless vintage props - like an old lace picnic blanket & a vintage milk crate (my grandfathers from his dairy farm 😭) for our stunning model: Anna to sit on so she stood out above the flowers in certain shots.

LOCATION: I scouted this field for weeks for the perfect lighting & foliage - very close to Michael Angelo's

How do you think it turned out?

09/20/2026

When I was a child, all I did was sketch fashion designs & dress up my friends & take their pictures with my moms film camera…When I was 15 I made my first wedding gown. When I was 21 I completed my Bachelors in fashion and costume design - and went on to do create formal wear and design costumes for theaters. When I was 30, I changed gears to focus on the other part of my child-hood passion - Photography.

Today, I’m blending those two together - and it just feels like HOME. Heres some tips on how I would shoot a fashion campaign.

- Get the full outfit
- Get a couple with direct eye contact to engage the viewer
- Pack your shoot with real action shots to showcase the movement of the garment & capture authentic moments
- Leave Negative Space to allow for the brands copy & logos
- Capture all details of the garment
- Do some faceless images so the focus is on the clothing & the viewer can picture themselves in the outfit

Along with a full pre production call sheet, H&M, mood board, messaging, prop list, garment prep, lighting plan, jewelry & accessory pairings to to further showcase merchandise for detailed shots, and then -

YOU TAKE A DEEP BREATH & remember to follow your intuition…and that you’ve been practicing this since you were 12. PLUS for this shoot you get to photograph your 12 year old daughter who is a model - and then you pinch yourself because you’re actually LIVING YOUR DREAM.
