A Glimpse

This is your view from our Himalayan Tahr camp in the wilderness of New Zealand. One of very few Tahr camps that has running water, heat and electricity to keep you comfortable as you head into the mountains in search of your trophy.

This is a 30,000 acre piece of property that is only accessible by helicopter and holds an incredible amount of animals during the breeding season (May to July). The hardest part about hunting here is not being busted by all of the other tahr when you’re stalking the big one

The Game Plan

In Spain, hunting is much more regulated than in the United States. When hunting the Gredos Ibex in particular, there are a minimum of three rangers that have to accompany you on each hunt so that they can ensure the correct animal is being harvested.

When hunting gold medal and super gold medal gredos ibex, these rangers focus on the body of these old ibex to determine if they are declining in health and will struggle to make it through the winter. These animals are typically 14+ years old
