A picture speaks a thousand words. But I just looked and not a single one of those words describes how cold and windy it was in Oaklahma when my Copilot Ben of BEN.T. Photography yelled "DUDE THATS CORE!!" as he was looking out the passenger window for evidence of the aproching sunrise, but luckily he was able to make out the core of the the milky way despite the glaring headlights that had to be brighter then the sun itself! And so we pulled off to grab a few shots before the sun came up. I can only describe the environment as a mix of the move Twister and Ice Age. We had to continually hold our cameras so they wouldn't tip over and despite our efforts to steady our tripods the wind caused our cameras would shake to the point where most of my shots where blurry. But with frozen hands and faces we both sat in the car amazed by the fact that we had gotten such an unexpected opportunity.

Im a little late posting this, but better late than never. After a few hours of hanging out in a thunderstorm i was finally able to capture a bolt over Boom Lake :)

So I learned the hard way the when someone sends you a photo on Facebook messenger it saves to your galley :o . I just noticed this and wanted to give credit to Benjamin Tatrow for the original photo (screenshot) both were taken at the same time mine is on the left.

Finally after months of waiting the Aurora decided to show itself again. So naturally Ben (Benjamin Tatrow Photography), Kelsey (Silverlight Photography) and myself all took a road trip to try our luck. We arrived at Saxon harbor to find some rather obnoxious marker lights but they wouldn't stop us from making the most of it. It was a short show but well worth the 4 hr round trip :)

Took a trip to Bond Falls today. Usually I find the shot I want at a location and then use the lens that will best help me achieve what I had visualized. But today I took a different approach, shoot everything with my zoom lens. It was a challenge but very rewarding.

Took A drive yesterday to check out this old manor house. It has a lot of history and I find that to be the most exciting part of exploring these old buildings. I will include a link in the comments with the houses history, as well as a pic of when it was new.
