✨Romantic moments that sweep you off your feet✨

👶🏼Smiling at your baby knowing they will never be this little again👶🏼

You can't freeze time but getting a photo is as close as it gets. What photos do you look at over and over again?

For me it's the pictures I took of my baby the day she was born 😍 I literally never get tired of looking back at those!

😍💍🌹WEDDING PREVIEW!!! 😍💍🌹
I am all heart-eyed at how these pictures are looking so far. I still have to finish sorting through all several thousand of them, but from what I'm seeing, I think I'm going to enjoy that process!

Just sent off this family's session! It was a fantastic fun-filled session with EIGHT little ones! See below for some TIPS FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS: How to work with kids in family photos!

👉Introduce yourself to the kids and ask them their names as soon as possible! Some kids are shy and if a stranger is suddenly asking them to smile and taking their picture, scowls can come out pretty quick. It happens all the time. So if you take a few moments to tell them your name, explain that you'll be taking some pictures, and ask them their name, how old they are, and maybe their favorite ice cream flavor then boom! You'll have a new friend and they'll be more likely to smile and have fun with you.

👉Pause between pictures to give big smiles to the kids! Most kids will social smile at just a few months old, so they'll be more likely to smile back if they can see your face for a few seconds!

👉GIVE THEIR FACES A BREAK! I like to ask kids to do grumpy faces or serious faces in between smiling pictures.

👉A classic but a goodie: Count to 3! Let them get their wiggles out, and then explain that you're going to count to 3 and on 3, give you their biggest smile! This helps with the last one - they can't hold a smile for very long!

Getting smiles wasn't always easy with these little ones - The littlest one started crying at the beginning of the session, but thankfully it didn't last! Swipe to the end to see the cutest smile ever!

I've had the opportunity to do some incredible sessions lately in the Idaho Falls/Rexburg area. From the St. Anthony sand dunes to Cress Creek, from the BYU-I apple orchards to the LaBelle Ice palace, I've come to fall in love with all the different things this area has to offer. Thank you to everyone who has worked with me as I've built up my portfolio for this area!

As a thank-you and as a continuation of me growing my Rexburg/Idaho Falls area clientele and reputation, I'm offering $20 off any session, which makes my 1-hour sessions just $79! As a professional photographer I know this is a lot less than what I could charge, but I really want to give as many people the opportunity to get quality photos as I can!

If you book before the end of July, you can get $20 off! The session can be scheduled anytime from now until September.

You may or may not have pinpointed this, but the main reason you look at a picture and think it looks good and professional is often because the subject is sharp and the background is blurred! Did you know that an easy way to get this effect on your phone camera is to back away from a subject and zoom in? This is called lens compression. When you zoom, your lens “compresses” the distance between your subject and the background, making the background seem closer but also blurring it out more. Instead of taking a shot close to your subject, which can cause warping and giant noses, step back a few feet and zoom in. This can result in a low-quality photo with some phone cameras, but a lot of them do well with it nowadays!
