Last night’s fireworks over Lake Anne were some of my favorite yet! Huge thanks to all my neighbors who put on such a great show each year.

Photo note: The key to firework photography is a long exposure on a tripod. But my family almost always watches the fireworks from our boat, which is constantly moving, so unfortunately long exposures won’t work in that case. Instead, I handheld them at high ISO at around 1/20 second, and they turned out well enough for our memory's sake!

I just did a fun Zoom presentation for a Girl Scout troop! I taught them photography tips, and they were the cutest little junior photographers.

I learned something cool yesterday:
If you shoot a dandelion directly in front of the sun, the light filters through with a prism effect. I took three frames like this yesterday, and they all had these rainbow colors.
