On Mother’s Day, our pastor spoke on the spiritual impact Mother’s have on their children. He gave us examples from the Bible and our present day where people stated they became a Christian because of the example their Mother set for them.

Spiritually impactful Mother’s read their Bible, recite scripture and pray with and over their children.

Spiritually impactful Mother’s serve the Lord by serving their family.

Spiritually impactful Mother’s have a sincere faith.

Spiritually impactful Mother’s “train their children up in the way they should go”.

Instead of one set day, I’m offering Motherhood Sessions throughout April & May. Each one will be thoughtfully tailored to your story.

One of my favorite moments while photographing these was watching my children sit together and read from the Bible beneath the cross.

It was a simple reminder that the heart of Easter isn’t found in eggs or baskets — it’s found in the story of Jesus.

These He Is Risen Sessions are meant to be quiet, meaningful portraits that point back to that story. A chance to pause with your family and remember the hope we celebrate.

This year I wanted Easter photos to be rooted in Faith.

Not bunnies.
Not baskets.

Just the cross.

A reminder that Jesus gave everything so we could have life.

During these sessions children will have the opportunity to wash one another’s feet; just as Jesus taught us to serve one another in love.

Each child will also receive a small card telling the story of Easter and why the cross matters.

If your family wants to slow down and reflect on the true meaning of Easter, I would be honored to photograph that moment for you.
