I personally love photographing funerals..i know this is very odd and different. But hear me out..
Every funeral program I have attended, photographed, recorded or been a part of has actually added so much value to my life. Even if I don't know the person or the family, I leave these programs with a new and refreshed sense of purpose, love and appreciation for not only life itself but for the people in my life and loved ones.
My Mom passed away when I was 14 years old, my siblings were 4, 8 and 9yrs old when she left this world and joined the master in heaven ❤️ so I know. I know the pain and I also know the love and comfort of God and family in these times and it’s very precious and also precious to me.
When i say I'm grateful for programs like these sometimes i feel very selfish BUT I do believe that this brings in a new element for me as a photographer and for my work.
I don't just stand there and take photos..I take in every moment, I'm present there with you. I understand. I see. I feel. I capture the essence of every moment of your program all while maintaining professionalism. I capture and see moments that maybe you didn't think of but I know would appreciate having them captured and highlighted.
