Hi, this is Carrie Kasky. A long time ago, Jenny Pierson, founder and photographer of Jenny Elise Photography, made me part manager of this account. She was so busy all the time, and got so many messages, she needed help responding to them all, and help with scheduling.
Jenny was my best friend in the world.
So, its with tremendous sadness that I have to close this page down for Business.
Jenny Elise Pierson lost her fight to metastatic breast cancer on Oct 5, 2021, after fighting her hardest for over a year.
She was... so many things. Being a talented photographer was only one of her many talents. (But she was awfully darn good at it.)
I know many many people in Rensselaer, and the surrounding areas, have had their precious moments captured by her for the better part of the last decade. I certainly have. And they are my most treasured photos. She somehow just knew how to capture the "realness" of a moment. Her pictures were never staged and photoshopped beyond recognition of your actual self or family life.
She could recognize in an instant, genuine interaction between family, and moments of unguarded authenticity, and she managed to capture it forever on film.
It made her an exceptional photographer.
But it made her an even better person and friend.
I can't even begin to tell you how dearly she will be missed.

It would be a comfort to all who loved her to see all the smiles, light, and love, she brought into this world.
On Jenny's behalf.. thank you for all of the business you gave her. She loved this job. You all gave her such purpose, and joy.
