“Maybe happiness is this: not feeling like you should be else-where, doing something else, being someone else”

That’s what I experienced at Cape Flattery, happiness. I sat there staring out into the ocean, listening to the waves as they crashed into the rock below, listening to the distance boats blow their horns, listening to the birds cry out as they flew past. I had no where to be, no one to be, and nothing to be.

This was the first time i’ve ever seen a coast so rugged, so beautiful. We were virtually the only people there since it was march and no one come here in the stormy months. It seems, for me, the further you are from people, the more it makes you feel alive.

Chilled morning, zero tourists, and a sight to behold.

Multnomah Falls was the start of day three in our trip north. I’ve been wanting to visit even before I knew what the falls were called. When we got there it was virtually empty, we had the place to ourselves. Definitely a must if you’re ever near Portland !
