Recently filmed select scenes and shot the stills for a documentary on Jeremy Renner’s near-fatal snowcat accident, where he was almost crushed to death by one of his 14,000-pound snowcats near Mt. Rose outside Reno in N Lake Tahoe. Here’s a taste of the stills.

About this time 10 years ago, my second feature-length action sports documentary, Reach For The Sky—chronicling the life & career of Cam Zink—premiered to a sold-out audience in Las Vegas. This is the first promo trailer I cut.

Blurb from my press release a decade ago:
Reach For The Sky takes viewers deep behind the scenes of Cam Zink’s life, framing his story between the 2013 & 2014 Red Bull Rampage events in Virgin, Utah. The film features an unprecedented look at his world-record-breaking 100-foot, dirt-to-dirt, backflip attempt—performed live on ESPN at Mammoth Mountain—showcasing exclusively never-before-seen footage that captures the true emotion of the moment.

More than just an action highlight reel, the film uncovers the fascinating life of one of mountain biking’s most daring & dynamic athletes. It dives into the psychological layers of risk, resilience, and self-doubt to reveal what drives Zink to keep pushing the limits—even when the odds are stacked against him.

- Dathan Graham for taking initiative on so many long shoot days & killing it in key moments
- Derek Westerlund for allowing me to scour the Freeride Entertainment archives
- All of the photographers & filmmakers I’ve stood alongside over the years who generously contributed archive photos & video clips
- Dan Escobar for the incredible poster art
- Tom Kranzle & his team for listening to my idea over dinner in Monterey, CA.
