Just scratched the surface of seeing all the beauty that Hardcastle Crags has to offer. Can't wait to go back and explore some more. Then it was on to Heptonstall which is on the hillside above Hebden Bridge. Was passing by a playground that had spectacular views of the valley below.

A bit of a surprise yesterday morning as we started the day with lightening and thunder (not common for this part of England).

But by 9am it was clearing out and our trip to Hardcastle Crags and Heponstall was on. Had to pull over just on the other side of Oxenhope to capture the stunning Yorkshire countryside.

Feels a bit odd tooting one's own horn but I was surprised to wake up to this this morning. Thanks to those who alerted me that my photo had been given honorable mention in the Maryland Photography Alliance's 2026 B&W Landscape contest.
