Cool Shades 😎 shooting at the beach today!
Sun, sand, cameras, and a whole lot of movie magic.

Our crew is out here making it happen, one shot at a time. Nothing like filming by the ocean with a great team and good energy.

Behind the scenes, but still looking cool. 🎥🌊☀️

Will AI replace live production crews?
We don’t think so.

At Digital Art Video, we’ve been testing how AI can support live productions behind the scenes - from helping technical directors monitor shows, assisting PTZ camera systems, organizing replay content faster, and improving production workflow.

But live events are still powered by people.

You still need directors, producers, camera operators, engineers, and creative teams making split-second decisions that technology simply can’t replace.

AI is becoming a powerful tool - but the human team remains the heart of every great production.

A Little Woman. The story of Amy Mak Chan

COMING SOON.

Over the past two years, many of you have seen us quietly working behind the scenes on a very personal project, our feature documentary A Little Woman.

Today, we’re excited to finally share a little more about it.
A Little Woman tells the inspiring true story of Amy Mak Chan, a girl born into poverty in Guangzhou, China, who grew up in a rooftop shack in 1960s Hong Kong. Guided by her fiercely principled mother, Amy discovered a love for music that led her to become a singer.

But life had bigger plans.

After marrying a well-known and influential figure in New York’s Chinatown and moving to the United States, Amy found herself stepping into a complex and unfamiliar world. When she was unexpectedly left to take over her husband’s struggling funeral home business, she rose to the challenge. Through grit, grace, and relentless determination, she rebuilt the business, supported her family, and became a quiet pillar of the Chinese American community.

Her story is one of sacrifice, resilience, reinvention, and legacy.
Many of us who grew up around Chinatown in the 1960s and 70s know the colorful stories of that era. But this film explores the other side of that history, the women whose sacrifices and strength helped shape families, businesses, and communities behind the scenes. Their stories are rarely told.

This 120-minute documentary features interviews with those who knew Amy personally, along with cinematic reenactments featuring talented actors including Angel Lu, Eudora Chen, Aria Lee, Qi, Yen Wen Chen, Jenny Lin, Ziyu Gao, Joseph Zamarelli, Charlie Zhou, Lyuba Lockett and Andy Rich.

We recently completed the film and held two full-house private screenings with cast, crew, family, and supporters, and the response has been incredibly meaningful.

For everyone who has been asking when the film will be publicly released, thank you for your patience, we’ll be sharing updates as soon as we know more about festival announcements.
In the meantime, here’s the official trailer:

After an incredible festival journey, we’re excited to officially release Through the Modern Looking Glass to the public.
This project explores a subject that impacts so many people but often remains invisible: depression hidden behind curated online identities.

In a world where social media often showcases highlight reels, this film follows an ensemble of characters who appear to “have it all” online, while privately facing struggles of their own. It’s a reminder that things are not always as they seem.

The film, along with its alternative short version Beautiful Catastrophe, was showcased at 35 film festivals across the U.S. and Europe, including screenings at the TCL Chinese Theatre and Tribeca Screening Room.

We’re honored that the project received multiple awards, including:
• Best Short Film
• Best African American Filmmaker
• Best Screenplay
• Best Director
• Best Ensemble Cast
And many more.

Congratulations to the incredible team behind this film:
Directed by Kim E. Wang & Tanya Chuturkova
Produced by Christina Renee, Kim E. Wang & Tanya Chuturkova
Created & Written by Christina Renee
Cinematography by Piero Basso
Edited by Tanya Chuturkova
Thank you to the cast, crew, and festival programmers who supported this journey.

Now that the festival run has officially concluded, we’re proud to finally share it publicly.
