5/6/2026 Sarcoxie Baseball Senior Night
This year, just one Senior, Lane Everts,, who I first encountered when he had just started his educational career at Sarcoxie. He rode my bus and we had several interesting conversations as he was the first one on in the morning and the last one off at night. Fast forward several years and I had the pleasure to have him in the Sarcoxie Ag Department where I have watched him grow into a leader in the Sarcoxie FFA, and had the pleasure to teach him some skills that hopefully will help him in his future endeavors!
As an Ag Teacher you get to spend a lot of time with your students in and out of the classroom, and you get the opportunity to impact their lives in ways that you hope will make them a productive citizen in society. Another plus is you get to watch them find what they are good at, what their passions are, and what they are willing to work on to improve themselves.
Over the past sixteen years at Sarcoxie I have had some great memories of students growing and coming into their own. Each of them hold a special place in my heart and memories! Lane is no different, and I can't wait to see what great things are in store for him after graduation. After all, high school is a great time in life, but their are so many more wonderful things out their after graduation! Enjoy this Lane and thank you for being a great chapter of my teaching career!
Oh yeah, I hope you and family enjoy the pictures and the fat head, that's a first for me, but I think I did a good job!
