Here's the truth about how I photograph families with young kids, and why I do it that way. Forcing kids to do anything always ends up in a battle that typically ends up in tears. Sometimes from your kids... sometimes from the parent. I refuse to force kids to do certain things during our time together. I want them to be themselves. That is where the magic happens.
Now, what that doesn't mean is that the shoot is a complete scattered mess. I always come prepared with fun games and activities to get the kids feeling comfortable and ready to rock a photoshoot.
Then, after the session I come in and polish everything up so you can remember the real moments, in a clean polished way that you will be proud to have captured in the years to come.
