Bridal sessions : let’s chat about it!
I’ve been loving the idea of bridal sessions more and more lately! Having the opportunity to take couples portraits on a separate day from the wedding can be common in some areas of the states, like Alaska, and rare/unheard of in other areas, like the east coast. But I’m loving it for two main reasons!
1. You get to explore and take pictures in an awesome place!! No matter where your ceremony is, you can still have insane wedding photos. Whether you get married in city hall or courthouse, or if your wedding venue doesn’t have a great outdoor space, it doesn’t matter! If you can just go somewhere else if the background matters to you!
2. You can be even more present on your wedding day! Especially for couples who do not do a first look and have traditional ceremonies where they see each other for the first time down the aisle. On days like those, couples often times spend more time away from the reception taking photos. When there is a strict one hour cocktail hour with a schedule to keep, it can be a bummer to not have the chance to mingle with guests. Doing a bridal session takes something big off your plate on the wedding day, granting you more time to be present and immersed in your day!
I love being able to see weddings of all kinds! Though my heart is leaning more towards outdoor adventure elopements, I still love traditional wedding days and do my best to give the best experience possible to everyone I cross paths with ♥️
