Gene Moore is an avid bicyclist and outdoorsman. He loves camping, hiking, traveling, and seeing new things. He also enjoys working
with his hands. He likes creating, repairing and fixing things. While his vocation is Automotive Service Technician for expensive foreign cars like MINI Coopers, his true passion is Photography. He and his wife, Barbara, photograph Weddings and Special Events with their own unique style, on the side, and Gene has made photographic contributions to several trade magazines. These, he does to pay for his “Photographic passion”. The photos here are more from his heart.

Gene Moore received his first real SLR Camera as a gift for his graduation from high school, in 1971. He currently uses a Nikon D300 Digital Camera. Though he studied Fine Arts at Mountain View College for 3 years, he never took a Photography Course there. Photography just seems to come naturally to him. He looks at the world with “the eye of an artist”. Marcel Proust once said: “The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.”
In 1975, he met and married his wife of 38 years, Barbara Varnell Moore. For years, she has contributed her knowledge and expertise to Gene's photographic journey. Barbara has an Associates Degree in Art from Cedar Valley College where she took every art and photography course that she could. She was employed at The Color Place, then a commercial photo processing lab, for 14 years where she worked in Customer Service, Sales, and then in the Computer Graphics Department, first with film and then into the Digital Age, printing, retouching, and enhancing slides and photographs. Together, they try to make the most beautiful and expressive photographs possible. Both Gene and Barbara shoot photographs, but Gene is the lead photographer. Barbara is behind the scenes, printing and sometimes enhancing Gene’s photos to make them show in the best light possible, and completing all the details the artist should not have to worry with. Gene & Barbara Moore hope that you take the time to really look at and appreciate the small pieces of God’s world they were able to capture and create with camera and computer.
