What an incredible weekend with Red Lodge School of Dance’s Night at the Museum!!

This production was so much fun to watch and even more special to capture! It was honestly so inspiring to see just how much joy these kids had, on stage and behind the scenes, and how much work went into making it all happen. From the dedication of the dancers, to the patience and care from the instructors, to everyone who stepped in to help bring it together…it really showed!

Seeing it all come to life, and watching the pride and emotion from families in the audience, made it feel like something really magical. One of those events that reminds you how much heart a community can hold.

I’m sharing some of my favorite moments here, but there are lots more photos available in the full gallery below. Feel free to download and enjoy them!

If you share any, I’d really appreciate a tag so others can find my work too. It means a lot and helps support what I do!

And a huge congratulations to Miss Pat Brandine on such a beautiful, thoughtful production. You can feel the heart behind it in every detail!

A perfectly planned surprise that felt effortlessly real. Austin spent months arranging every detail so he could simply be present when he asked the big question. With mountains, fresh air, and a yes, this moment was everything. Read the full story and see the photos: https://wix.to/8xED4LR

This spring proposal in Red Lodge was one of those days that just came together exactly how you hope it will. Austin reached out to me months in advance, and we spent that time going back and forth, planning every detail so it would feel natural and meaningful. By the time the day arrived, everythin...

So it really is possible to love someone to the moon and back. 🥹

To say I’ve always been enamored with space is an understatement. I still remember sitting in school when New Horizons launched to Pluto thinking that destination was a lifetime away. Saving for my first telescope, watching Cosmos, standing in totality, following Juno… all little pieces of that same awe.

And now, we’re back to the moon. It’s wild, humbling, and a reminder of just how small we are - and how far we can go. 🌖

Life lately: slow mornings, snowy mountains, and leaning into the quiet pace of winter here in Red Lodge. Less daylight makes you cherish every minute. Extra layers, cozy days, warm coffee, and letting winter set the rhythm ❄️🏔️

The incredible, jaw dropping Beartooth Pass:

- High elevation: At 10,947 feet, Beartooth Pass is one of the highest paved roads in the U.S.

- Seasonal access: Due to heavy snow, the road is usually only open from late May/early June through October.

- Iconic highway: It’s part of the Beartooth Highway, which connects Red Lodge, Montana to Yellowstone National Park. Many consider it one of the most scenic drives in America.

- Hairpin turns: The road has steep grades and over 20 switchbacks, making the drive thrilling and photo-worthy.

- Wildlife spotting: I have personally seen deer, mountain goats, bear, chipmunks, marmots, bald eagles, and a rabbit saw my tires up close 🙈

- Film & photography favorite: Its dramatic peaks and high alpine terrain have been featured in countless films, commercials, and photo shoots.

- Native American history: The Crow people originally called the area “Awa’xe,” meaning “bear tooth,” referencing the jagged peak.

- Glacial remnants: The surrounding peaks still show evidence of glaciers from the last Ice Age, shaping the dramatic landscape.

-Ancient rocks: The rocks around Beartooth Pass are some of the oldest exposed rocks in North America, formed over 3 billion years ago.
