Meg Knight has been singing and writing music since the age of 12, discovering early on the power of storytelling through song. She performed in numerous original and cover bands throughout her music life before taking a 15-year hiatus to raise a family—during which time she also faced and overcame her greatest challenge: battling and surviving breast cancer twice. Today, Meg proudly celebrates her fifth year cancer-free.
Now in her fabulous 50s, Meg continues to perform with a cover band, connecting with audiences through her voice and stage presence. Yet her passion for writing and performing original music never faded. That calling ultimately brought her back to songwriting with renewed purpose and perspective.
Her debut single, Another Day, is a song of hope, resilience, and forward momentum. It encourages listeners not to let another day pass by without embracing opportunity, perseverance, and possibility. With uplifting energy and heartfelt authenticity, Meg’s music reflects a life fully lived and a message that it’s never too late to begin again.

Lunch Break staff, board members, supporters, past Gala honorees and friends gathered to toast our Heroes for Hope nonprofit partners and kickoff the celebration taking place on Friday, November 1st at our annual Gala. Fulfill, Brookdale Community College and the Monmouth County SPCA were all recognized for their incredible work in supporting our community in need and providing them opportunities for a brighter future. We could not do what we do without their invaluable collaborative partnerships!
