Honestly? The same things I think about when I photograph yours.
✓ Clothes everyone feels good in
✓ A location that fits the story
✓ Respecting everyone’s privacy & boundaries
✓ Reading the room
✓ Posing efficiently and knowing when to move on
✓ Getting the RIGHT photographs — not hundreds
My boys value their privacy, so I respect it. They don’t want to spend hours taking pictures, so I don’t make them.
They give me a little. I ask for a little. We compromise. 😂
Because I don’t want your family’s lasting memory of photos to be, “That took forever.”
I want them to remember the experience.
And this trip was built around something my boys have wanted to do for YEARS — see Kanye. 🎤
Whatever your feelings may be about Kanye, there’s no denying that he is an incredibly gifted and influential artist. My boys have loved his music for years, and seeing him live was a true bucket-list moment for them.
So I built our family photo experience around the trip and filled the days with everything else that makes a memory worth keeping.
Dooky Chase — what an incredible experience. Stella Chase Reese came around to our table, chatted and laughed with us, and made us feel right at home. She even made sure my boys were taken care of with some good old-fashioned Southern fried chicken. ❤️
I loved taking in all of the art throughout the restaurant, especially the photograph of Dooky’s hands. I love photographing hands because they tell so much of a story.

And an unexpected airport hello with Ty Dolla $ign, who was so kind to stop for a quick picture with the boys. We didn’t want to draw attention to him — no one else had even noticed him — so we kept it quick. But how cool was that?! 😂❤️
I didn’t just plan a photo shoot.
