A little vent…
Stepping back from Instagram a little has been one of the best things I’ve done for myself lately.

I didn’t realize how much mental space it was taking up until I stopped worrying so much about it.

For a long time, I’d post photos I loved and then find myself disappointed if they didn’t get enough likes. I’d compare myself to other photographers and wonder what I was doing wrong.

Then one day it hit me: I was letting numbers on a post decide how I felt about my work… And that’s a lot of power to give away!

Likes are nice, but they’re not what keeps my business going.
Real people and real relationships are.

That mindset shift has been so freeing.

I think social media is a lot more exhausting than we admit sometimes. And turns out life gets a lot better when you stop letting an app tell you how you’re doing…
