Something I’ve noticed more and more this year is how many families are choosing to keep their little ones’ faces off social media. And I want you to know that I completely respect and support that decision! ♥️

As much as I love sharing the beautiful moments I get to capture, your family’s privacy will always be more important than having photos to share on my page.

If this is something you prefer, please don’t hesitate to let me know! We can even plan a few intentional shots that don’t show your little one’s face, so you can still share some of those sweet memories with friends and family if you wish.

All I ask is that you communicate your preferences with me at the time of booking or during your session, so we’re on the same page from the beginning.

And please know that you never have to explain or justify your decision to me. Whether you’re comfortable with me sharing everything, a few details, or absolutely nothing, your wishes will always be respected.

At the end of the day, these memories are yours, and my job is to preserve them for you, not for Instagram. ♥️

Something I never thought I would say: discovery calls and planning appointments have become one of my absolute FAVORITE parts of being a photographer!! ✨♥️

When I first decided to introduce these calls as part of my new client experience, I honestly didn’t think much of it. I knew they would be helpful for planning sessions, making sure we’re on the same page, and creating a more personalized experience, but I never expected to enjoy them as much as I do!

I had three planning calls this week, and every single one reminded me why I love what I do so much.

Getting to know these sweet mamas, hearing about their families, their pregnancies, their babies, and all the little things they’re excited about. Talking through their ideas, helping them choose outfits for the whole family, coordinating colors and textures, discussing locations, and figuring out how to bring everything together in a way that feels natural, beautiful, and true to them.

And sometimes, we just end up chatting about motherhood and life, which might be my favorite part of all!! 🥹

What started as something I introduced to improve my client experience has turned into something that genuinely makes me excited about my work in a whole new way.

And now? I’m over here secretly hoping every single client schedules a planning call because I just want to chat with all of you hahaha

It’s such a small part of the whole experience, but it’s making such a big difference in how connected I feel to the families I photograph. And I really hope they’re feeling that too.

After careful consideration, I’ve decided that the sun and I are now a package deal. My new toxic trait is believing every outdoor session deserves this kind of golden, dreamy light. And honestly? Can you blame me?!

I fear she might actually be my most important employee at this point, because every time she shows up, she delivers THIS kind of magic. She has set my standards ridiculously high and completely ruined my ability to be flexible about the weather.

So yes, I would like to formally blame the sun for my increasingly unreasonable lighting standards and my new very strict 2027 weather policy.

And if anyone needs further clarification on why I made that decision, I believe these photos speak for themselves. Case closed. 😂♥️☀️

I’ve been pretty quiet on here this year. I don’t think I’ve shared even a third of the work I’ve photographed — and surprisingly, I’m completely okay with that. 🤍

Letting go of the pressure to constantly show up for Instagram gave me room to actually show up for my life, my business, and myself. And somehow, in that quieter space, I’ve grown in ways I didn’t even know were possible.

There’s so much beautiful work sitting in my hard drives waiting to be shared, so maybe one day I’ll finally catch you all up haha For now, here are a few little pieces of what I’ve been up to. ✨♥️

First birthdays are such a sweet season to photograph! So much personality has already started to shine through, while there’s still so much of that baby sweetness left. I love getting to preserve this little in-between before they grow into the next version of themselves… ✨♥️

One of my favorite parts of this job is getting to watch your babies grow! Seeing their personalities unfold and noticing all the little ways they’ve changed since the last time they were in front of my camera is so special. Photographing these little seasons again and again is such a gift!! ✨
