🔥 Friday Night Football | Week 2 🏈

The Dover Tornadoes made the trip to Steubenville tonight for a Week 2 matchup with Big Red and Steubenville definitely brought the heat. 🔥

Big Red put together a strong performance on both sides of the ball, earning a 44–14 victory over Dover. 💪🏈

But it’s only Week 2, and there’s a whole lot of football still ahead for both of these teams. The season is just getting started, and Friday night lights have plenty more to shine on. 🌙🏈

🏈 Friday Night Lights are BACK! 🏈

Week 1 of Ohio high school football brought the West Branch Warriors down to the Valley for a season-opening matchup with the St. Clairsville Red Devils and with it came everything we love about Friday nights.

The cheerleaders on the sidelines. 📣
The band filling the stadium with music. 🎶
The crowd coming alive.
The lights shining down on the field. 💡
The players leaving it all out there.
The families, friends and communities coming together to cheer on their teams.

And, of course, one team gets to walk away with the win. Tonight, that team was West Branch.

Preseason football is officially underway! 🏈🔥

Spent today at the tri-school scrimmage featuring the Brooke Bruins, Cameron Dragons and Oak Glen Golden Bears, and there was plenty of action to capture.

From high-flying catches and big plays to long runs and hard-fought reps, all three teams brought plenty of energy to the field. Scrimmages are about getting those final pieces in place, building confidence and seeing what your team can do when the lights come on.

The season is just around the corner, and if today was any indication, there’s going to be plenty of football to watch in the Ohio Valley!

Some players make noise.
Luke Kuechly never needed to.

His game said everything.

For eight seasons, No. 59 was the heartbeat of the Carolina Panthers defense…diagnosing plays before they unfolded, flying to the football, and always seeming to be exactly where he was needed.

Now, at just 35 years old, Luke Kuechly is a Pro Football Hall of Famer. 🏆

➡️ 1,092 career tackles
➡️ 7 Pro Bowls
➡️ 7 All-Pro selections
➡️ 2012 Defensive Rookie of the Year
➡️ 2013 Defensive Player of the Year
➡️ 2-time NFL tackles leader
➡️ 3-time Butkus Award winner

All of it came in just eight NFL seasons.

That’s what makes his career so rare.

He stepped away at 28, leaving the game on his own terms with a résumé that was short in length, but legendary in impact.

There are some people who walk into a room and instantly make it brighter. 😄

Larry Fitzgerald has always been one of those people.

The smile. The laugh. The genuine joy. And somehow, through all the greatness, records, touchdowns and accolades, he never seemed to lose the kid who simply loved football.

And what a journey it has been. 🏈

➡️ 17 seasons — all with the Arizona Cardinals
➡️ 1,432 receptions
➡️ 17,492 receiving yards — 2nd all-time in NFL history
➡️ 121 receiving touchdowns
➡️ 11 Pro Bowls
➡️ NFL 100 All-Time Team
➡️ 2016 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year

But maybe one of the coolest parts of Larry’s story happened long before the records.

As a kid, Larry Fitzgerald was a ball boy for the Minnesota Vikings.

He grew up around the game, watching and learning from the players he admired. One of those players was Hall of Famer Cris Carter.

Fast forward all these years later…

The kid who once worked as a ball boy for the Vikings stood on the biggest stage in football and Cris Carter was the one who put the gold jacket on him. 🥹💛

You couldn’t write a better full-circle moment.

From ball boy… to one of the greatest wide receivers to ever play the game… to Pro Football Hall of Famer.

And through it all?

That smile. That laugh. That joy. ❤️

Some careers are measured in yards, touchdowns and wins.

Others are measured in the moments when everything was on the line… and you knew exactly who you wanted taking the kick. 🏈

Adam Vinatieri built a career on those moments.

The pressure.
The cold.
The clock.
The kick.

And then… the celebration. 🏆

From game-winning field goals to Super Bowl history, Adam became synonymous with being clutch when it mattered most. His journey to Canton is a story of perseverance, preparation, confidence and an incredible ability to make the impossible look routine.

And then came the enshrinement speech. 😂

Adam reminded us that while he may have spent his career putting balls through the uprights, he also had a pretty memorable relationship with the guy holding them.

But underneath the laughs was a genuinely heartfelt celebration of an extraordinary career, the people who helped him get there, and the legacy he leaves behind.

A legendary career.
A legendary leg.
And apparently… one legendary ball holder. 😂

Some people walk into the Pro Football Hall of Fame weekend and make an entrance. Roger Craig made an impact. 🏈❤️

From the moment he arrived, the energy was unmistakable — smiling, laughing, hugging, dancing, celebrating and soaking up every single moment of a weekend that was a long time coming. And somehow, Roger seemed to have more energy than everyone around him. 😂

His enshrinement was everything it should have been: joyful, emotional, grateful and full of memories.

Roger also shared some very personal news about his health during the weekend. It was a reminder that behind all the smiles and celebration is a man facing a very different kind of fight — and doing it with the same courage and spirit he has shown throughout his remarkable life.

So yes, this weekend was about football and a well-deserved place among the legends.

But it was also about living in the moment, celebrating the people you love, and choosing joy.

And Roger Craig brought plenty of that to Canton. 💛🏈

Congratulations, Roger. You made this Hall of Fame weekend one we won’t forget. 🙌

🏈 FROM GOLD TO GOLD JACKET. FROM DREAM TO CANTON. 💛

There are moments in sports that feel bigger than the game itself.

This weekend in Canton, Drew Brees officially became a Pro Football Hall of Famer…first receiving his Gold Jacket, then taking his place among the legends of the game.

But listening to his enshrinement speech, it was clear that this moment was never just about the records, the championships, or the 20-year NFL career.

It was about the people who helped him get there and the responsibility he felt along the way.

Speaking to his four children, Brees said:

“You are forever my greatest inspiration.”

And then there’s Brittany…their story is about more than football. It is about a lifetime built together, a love that has endured every chapter, grown with their family, and brought them all the way to this moment in Canton. ❤️

Reflecting on his position and what it meant to lead a team, he said:

“I never saw the position as one of pressure, but rather one of great responsibility.”

That perspective says so much about the way Brees approached the game. Being a quarterback wasn’t simply about throwing the football or winning games. It was about earning trust, leading others and understanding the responsibility that came with being the person others looked to.

And when he reflected on the teammates who shared the journey with him:

“You all make up the golden threads of this jacket.”

A career built on preparation, perseverance, leadership and an unwavering belief in himself but ultimately defined by the people who shared the journey with him.

From the kid who dreamed of playing quarterback…
to Purdue…
to San Diego…
to New Orleans…
to Super Bowl champion…
to Canton.

And now, forever, a Pro Football Hall of Famer. 🏈💛

Sometimes, you set out to photograph one moment… and end up capturing a whole story.

On the sidelines before the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game, I struck up a conversation with Dean Grossman. I had no idea who he was. When I learned he would be accepting the 2026 Pete Rozelle Radio-Television Award on behalf of his father, Sandy Grossman, I offered to photograph the moment for him.

For those who may not know the name, Sandy Grossman was one of the most influential directors in NFL television history. He directed an incredible 10 Super Bowls, along with countless other major sporting events, and helped shape the way fans experienced football on television. His legacy now has a permanent place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

What I thought would be a few photos of Dean accepting his father’s honor quickly became so much more.

There were photos of Dean with his family, introducing them to enshrinees and football legends before the program. Earlier that day, I even happened to run into them inside the Hall of Fame. I captured a family photo for them in front of the plaque where their father’s name now has a permanent place among the legends of the game.

And that’s the part of photography I love most.

The moment on stage is important. But sometimes, the moments surrounding it, the introductions, the family, the pride, and the little interactions are the photographs that become the most treasured.

I’m grateful that a chance conversation on the sidelines allowed me to be there to document a small part of the Grossman family’s story.

Because there’s always more to the story. ❤️🏈

There are moments you plan for… and then there are moments that simply happen.

Before kickoff at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game, I found myself standing on the sidelines when, almost without realizing it, I was suddenly surrounded by football royalty. Members of the incoming Hall of Fame class, legends from previous classes, and decades of NFL history all gathered in one place.

As a photographer, these are the moments you can’t script. You stay ready, trust your instincts, and start clicking.

Every face in these photos represents years of dedication, sacrifice, and greatness. To be there as this year’s enshrinees shared the field with those who paved the way was something I’ll never forget.

Sometimes the best seat in the house isn’t in the stands… it’s standing quietly on the sidelines, witnessing history through a viewfinder.
