Those who know me personally may already have heard my heartbroken ranting about the end of my beloved partner of 12+years...my camera has clicked its last clack. My personal responsibilities do not allow me to replace the equipment for the foreseeable future. Ive been encouraged to create a gofundme to allow my Society to help. I spend the majority of my free time at events taking candid photos of our hobby (and I love photographing animals and do some fun shoots with my friends in mundane life (if youve got a cool idea that buzzes my creative juices I just do those free for friends and family) because its what I love to do. I have always given these freely (though some wonderful folks book me to force me to show up on time and specifically shoot them getting awards and such and some posed portraits rather than me just shooting whatever catches my fancy wherever I happen to be during the event lol)
Im going to try to find some solice in other activities for a while but I will be aching to take pictures again soon. Its hard to explain the way the act of capturing images grounds and excites me at the same time and im going to be missing it...so here's the link to my collection plate. If ive ever brought you joy, if youve ever admired the artistry of my work and my creative eye, IF you can pleaee consider giving. The SCA is my home and while its hard to ask for help I know my family wants to do what they can.
Hopefully youll see me scampering about around the battlefield and court (or laying in the aisle or squishing through the royal entourage) again soon!
