Photography trend!!
So, what are we doing here?????
Let me explain 😉🥰
The slow shutter, blurry black-and-white photography trend is a viral aesthetic that favors raw emotion and motion over technical perfection. By combining intentional motion blur with dramatic monochromatic editing, photographers can create nostalgic, cinematic, and moody images.
By shutter dragging, setting your camera to a slow shutter speed—typically between 1/5 to 1/20 of a second, this allows moving subjects (like people walking or dancing) to blur while retaining some detail.
I have to admit, when this trend first started I was not on board 🤣🤦🏼♀️. It felt like everything we aimed not to achieve in professional photography 🤣. But then one day I decided to try it, and jump on the bandwagon, and honestly, I kind of really love it. It creates such a deep moody feeling, it’s something different, and really kind of fun 👏🏼🥰. So I’m on board now👏🏼
The "shaky/blurry" photography trend is incredibly popular, especially in street, fashion, and wedding photography, but it does spark debate. Many users praise the aesthetic for its ability to capture authentic feelings, raucous energy, and movement without the sterile look of modern, ultra-sharp digital photos. However, opinions are mixed, as critics argue it might just look like blurry mistakes, which is where my opinion started, …..but it quickly changed, because now I kind of love it 😉👏🏼🥰
