Nothing like getting up at 3:30am, driving 45 minutes, then waiting in line for TWO HOURS just to get into Custer State Park… all to wait a few more hours to watch a whole lot of bison come "thundering" across the hills. 🤣🤪🥰 I really did think there would be more sound the first time hahaha.

And you know what? Totally worth it.

There’s just something pretty incredible about watching the Buffalo Roundup in person, especially on a beautiful Black Hills morning. Definitely an experience that makes the ridiculously early alarm clock a little easier to forgive. 😂

Thanks for being my adventure buddy today, Albert! Always more fun having someone along who’s willing to get up at an unreasonable hour for an adventure. ❤️📸🦬

Look, another non-dog photo! LOL When I first got into photography when I was only 8-years old, close-up imagery was one of my favorite things to photograph. Back then, I only had macro filters, which did not exactly do the best job. But now? WOW. The image is so sharp you can even see the veins of the powdery mildew all over the plant! 😂 (stupid powdery mildew)

I love being able to see all the tiny details we normally miss, while playing with the bokeh to create art out of everyday life. And this is such a simple image, taken right outside my back door! We have finally been blessed with some rain, and I loved seeing the hundreds, maybe even thousands, of tiny droplets covering my columbine. I planted this columbine when our pup passed away two years ago, which makes it a little extra special to me. Sometimes you don’t have to go very far to find something beautiful to photograph. ❤️

I'm alive!!! Wow, April 7th was my last post. Let's see where do I begin.... We left to pick up our new puppy early April and then when we got back with said puppy my life was total chaos for the next 3 weeks, then have been dealing with family medical stuff. Thankfully things have settled and life is normalizing again. So to kick off me getting back into posting meet Freya our newest family member! Her and Mabel are already best friends. And as of today she is around 19 weeks old. She is another moyen poodle and will be about 25-30 lbs. As you can see she is already an amazing model!

Yes, I photograph cats too. LOL. Just not as often.

Cats can be a tiny bit more… adventurous… than their canine counterparts 🐈✨ So how do you know if your cat might be a good studio candidate?

A lot of it comes down to their personality and how they handle new environments:

If getting your cat into a carrier feels like an Olympic sport 🏅
or they turn into a disappearing act at the vet 🫥 the studio might not be their happy place.

But… If your cat is curious, confident, and loves to explore 🐾. If they tolerate (or even enjoy) the vet. If they stroll into their carrier like royalty 👑

They just might be a purrfect fit for a session 😻

Ohhh Phoebe Grace ✨🐾

Meet Phoebe Grace, a 13 month old Australian Sheepadoodle with the softest cream coat and the biggest heart. A few months ago her mom, Claudine, brought her in to see me and honestly… I get it. Completely. Utterly. Smitten. 🥹💛

Phoebe has that kind of personality that pulls you right in. Sweet, curious, and just a little mischievous in the most lovable way. Her mom says she loves to steal slippers and shoes 👟😅 but here’s the funny part… she doesn’t chew them. She just collects them like tiny treasures.

Now toys? Toys do not stand a chance 😂.🧸Fluff must be liberated. Squeakers must be defeated.

She is pure joy, soft curls, and total puppy magic. Watching the bond between Claudine and Phoebe was such a beautiful reminder of why I love what I do 💕.
