The day I relaunched my client experience, I sat on the front porch with my coffee and watched the rain… and for a little while longer, only a few people knew what the big launch was. ❤️

One of my close friends messaged me and said, “Sayer, your dad would just be so proud of you.”

My dad was my biggest fangirl in life and in business. ❤️ I never knew I could miss someone so much.

We’ve been putting your kids near creeks and water for years, and then spending the entire session telling them not to get wet. 😉

Bring me the kiddo who won’t stop moving, the one who suddenly gets shy, the sibling giggles, the bear hugs, the snack breaks, the belly laughs and whatever else your family brings with them that day.

I don’t want your session spent trying to manage every little thing happening around you. Love on your people…extra 😉, play with your kiddos, and enjoy an evening where your only job is to be present.

I realized I was asking a LOT from your kids at family sessions.

… Imagine being little and showing up somewhere new, only to have a stranger with a giant camera immediately start asking you to smile, play and interact with her. 😂

Some kiddos can roll with that instantly, but others were need a little more time. I realized I don’t want to leave that completely up to chance. I want to help prep for that!

So with full family sessions, getting to know your kiddos now starts before I ever photograph them.

I want to know what makes them laugh and what they’re obsessed with right now, so I can better connect with them once we’re together. My favorite part is that I’ve actually figured out a way for them to get to know me before the session, as well! 🤍

My goal is they will feel like I came prepared for them, too. 🤍

No better way to start a Thursday than with a baby overload 🥰

In-home sessions are the best — everything you could possibly need is within walking distance, it’s comfy, cozy and familiar to baby. ❤️ Traveling in a vehicle is not the greatest thing right after giving birth 🙂 I’ll come to you 😌 && bring coffee ❤️

CREEK MINIS! 💦🌿
I have been SO excited about these because instead of asking your kiddos to stand still and smile at me for 15 minutes, we’re going to let them PLAY. 🥰

Splash in the water, throw rocks, snuggle your people, laugh a lot and probably leave with some wet pant legs. 😂 I have a feeling these are going to be such a fun way to wrap up summer. 🤍

Okay, let me explain myself. 😂👀

I won’t Photoshop you to be skinnier because I want your kids to remember their parents exactly as they were.

I won’t limit your digital images because if I photographed it and took the time to edit it, I want you to have it. 🤍 Those photos will mean more to you someday than they ever will sitting on my computer and another fee.
***Mini-session layouts have completely changed**

I won’t post your sneak peeks before you see them because you’re the reason I took them, not Instagram.

I won’t rush you through your session because I can’t expect a kid to meet a stranger with a giant camera and immediately show me who they really are.

And I won’t squeeze your session in after a long day of daycare when I know your kiddo is exhausted. I’d rather plan around your family and give them the best chance to actually enjoy the evening.

Maybe some of these are a little unconventional. I’m okay with that. 🤍

I care about the little people in your photos, too, and what they’ll have to treasure as they grow older.
