Moving forward, your children's faces will not be posted here or on any of Wild & Free’s social media or website.
A while ago I made the decision that I was no longer comfortable sharing my own children’s faces online. When I made that decision, it felt strictly personal, but I did announce that I would remove any child’s faces from my photography posts as well if the parents requested.
Lately over the past few months, I've spent a lot of time reflecting on how I wanted to move forward sharing children’s faces on my photography’s social media as these would be photos that ANYONE can access. For awhile I felt comfortable leaving it up to the parents to decide if this was something they were comfortable with me doing. However, l've since grown more convicted about protecting the privacy of the children I interact with. The world of social media is constantly changing and what we share today can live forever in ways we can't always control. I want to help give parents back as much control as I can with who they share photos of their children with.
With that being said, l've made the decision that moving forward, I will no longer be posting children's faces on my public platforms and I am working to remove all prior photos of children’s faces from my social media.
I want to make sure that I am being responsible with the trust my clients instill in me to make them feel safe and comfortable while in front of my camera. As well as handle my responsibility to safely deliver images from the shoots with the desired level of privacy.
This does not mean that I will change anything about the poses used in photos taken during family, newborn, or any other shoots with children. This also does not mean we will do any extra poses without faces just for my social media marketing.
Clients will still receive private galleries with passwords to access all of their photos like normal this is just a change for any publicly accessible photos of children shared by Wild & Free Photography.
I will also still share sneak peeks for clients that are ok with sharing their photos, but I will do so in ways that better protect the privacy of any children in those photos.
As for any graduating seniors and prom clients, I will leave it up to you and your families to decide if you are comfortable with me posting. But, as for the little ones in my photographs, we will be going faceless from here on.

I also want to make it a point to say that this does not intend to cast any judgment on parents who share their kids faces online. I just want to give you the ability to share your children with whom you choose and not use my photography business to put your babies faces on display for the whole world.
